Champion Petfoods is looking for a Contract Recruiter who can support us in building our team as we continue to grow. We are an emerging iconic brand. Reporting to the Director, Human Resources & Talent Development, you will be responsible for the end to end recruitment process, including candidate generation and sourcing, interview guide creation, and assessment as well as offer negotiation. The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of diverse positions across multiple locations in the U.S. and Canada.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Hiring Managers to develop and execute on recruitment plans which will include building an effective sourcing strategy for candidate generation.
  • Conduct phone interviews with candidates of all levels.
  • Conducts in-depth face-to-face interviews of potential candidates and provide coaching to Hiring Managers on the best practices of interviewing.
  • Negotiate compensation in conjunction with the HR Generalists.
  • Actively promote and build the employment brand with candidates and through all recruitment activities.
  • Coordinate the process between candidates, Hiring Managers, and HR Generalists through the recruiting cycle.
  • Support and maintain recruitment process and systems.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities performed are fully compliant with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Education and Requirements:

  • 3+ years of full cycle recruitment experience.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with business leaders, while gaining insight into the daily operations and needs of the organization.
  • Experienced utilizing both active and passive sourcing channels including social media to generate qualified candidates.
  • Demonstrated ability to gain Industry knowledge quickly to understand the market, competitors and the talent landscape.
  • Have the ability to reach out into the external market to effectively identify, attract and interact with passive candidates.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organizational and recruitment execution skills, and the ability to work effectively in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
