The position of Sanitation Worker has primary responsibility to provide assistance to the Production team in ensuring exceptional cleanliness and sanitation of the facility. Work hours are overnight, to accommodate for Production running-time. The Sanitation Worker works out of our Morinville Kitchens, and reports directly to the Sanitation Supervisor, with an indirect report to the Production Supervisor.

Champion Petfoods LP is looking for a dedicated and hard-working individual to fill the position of Sanitation Worker. The Sanitation worker is responsible for:
Thoroughly and effectively cleaning floors in all production and warehouse areas, using equipment such as brooms, mops, and auto-scrubbers.
Sanitizing hand rails in production areas, including hand rails on platforms above production machinery.
Using dusters and extended brooms to dust cobwebs in production areas, including on platforms above production machinery.
Perform other duties as required and assigned.
Education and Requirements:
This position requires the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Able to work with various tools and equipment, such as broom, mop, duster, and auto-scrubber.
Successful completion of WHMIS, with a thorough understanding of how to work safely with cleaning chemicals.
Strong attention to detail in all areas of work.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to accurately complete required paperwork.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work successfully both independently and as part of a team.
Working conditions are within a pet food production environment, with exposure to dust, noise, odours, and fluctuating temperatures. Standing for extended periods of time and heavy lifting up to 25 kg may be required. This position works night shift only: 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Overtime and premium rates apply, as per company policy.
