I have a three year old schnoodle that is my babygirl. She has been eating Nutro since she was a pup and Nutro Ultra since I adopted her. Lately she has become very fussy about her food and turning up her nose at it. I was becoming very concerned as she seemed to stop eating and all she wanted to do was sleep. I went to my local petfood store and the owner recommended Orijen and Orijen 6 fish. Lucy took to it immediately and can't seem to get enough of it. The instant it is in her bowl she gobbles it up and her bowl is empty. She has only been on the food for about a week but she is happier and seems to have a much better stool. I am sure that things can only get better.
I looked at the packaging to see where the food was made and discovered why my girl likes it so much - it is made in Sunny Alberta. I am an Edmonton girl that has been displaced in Ontario for a few years (in the military) but my heart still belongs to Alberta.

My two German Shepherds have been on Orijen 6 Fresh Fish for several months now. They have always been fed a holistic diet, but Orijen, by far, has given them the best results. At the time of year when they would traditionally be blowing their coats, shedding is at a normal, if not minimum rate. Their coats, particularly of my solid black, are thick and glossy. I supplement your food with a small amount of super premium canned food and yogurt. My only complaint is that I wish that I could purchase Orijen locally. I live in the greater Cleveland, Ohio area and, although we have a multitude of holistic pet stores, none of them carry your product. Thank you!

I just want to say thank you for making the best dog food on the market. I acquired my first showdog last January and wanted to use the best food on the market hoping to forego the need to add supplements that the breeder was telling me to use. I read books, spoke to several breeders and nutritionist and decided to give Orijen a try. Low and behold a week later after using your food my puppy gained 8 pounds in pure muscle mass and his mahogany got richer in color. I have been very pleased with how well my puppy has blossomed on the Orijen Large Puppy kibble. When I picked 'Keegan' up from the breeder at 10 weeks, he was on a raw food diet. As a vegetarian, I wasn't too enthusiatic about continuing with this diet! After considerable research, I was most impressed with the 'Orijen' brand of grain-free dog food and gradually switched Keegan from raw food to the Orijen large puppy kibble (with a dab of an organic canned veggie and fruit mixture for a little variety). He is now 28" at the shoulder and 69lb; well-muscled; energetic; bright-eyed and with healthy white teeth. I am adding a recent photo to show him off!

I brought home a new lab pup last week and she has had some tummy issues since and hasn't eatten much. She was orginially on Royal Canin puppy food and it wasn't going well (likely due to the wheat & corn in it). I went out a few days ago and purchased your Orijen puppy food and she loves it. I thought I would let you see photos of my Rottweiler, CH Cammcastle's Habanero Hottie. "Chili" came to us last summer and was not in show ring condition. We have been raising Labrador Retrievers and Rottweilers and showing since 1976 and recently started using your Six Fresh Fish formula on dogs that were going on show circuits. We put her on the Fish formula and by January she was a new dog. She went out with a handler for 6 weeks and finished her Championship at the Colonial Rottweiler Club Specialty in Lancaster, PA by going Winners Bitch over 76 other bitches. She also took time that morning to take my 12 year old son to a Best Junior in show!
Needless to say, all the dogs are now on Origen Foods, including the puppies. Thanks for a great product!

I had to write and tell you that your dog food is fantastic. It really does live up to the information given on your web page. I have to admit that I was skeptical.
It does cost more, but I can tell how much better the product is just at first glance. And by that I mean the bag it comes in. Then you open the bag and the kibbles actually smell and look good. My puppy loves this food and it has helped his skin. Hopefully after continued use he will lose most of his allergy problems.

I have been showing and breeding Rottweilers for about 20 years now. I have 5 Champions and a 4 month old puppy. I have 2 CH males that have been in the Top Twenty for the last 3 years. My dogs have been awarded a "SELECT" at our Rottweiler National and I have 3 of my Champion dogs who have numerous BISS(Best in Specialty show). One is ranked in the top ten so far this year.
I found out about Orijen dog food last year and I have been feeding it ever since. As soon as I brought my puppy home I put him on the large breed puppy. Since my dogs look so fantastic being on Orijen, I have gotten a lot of my show friends on your Orijen dog food.

I recently switched my two bassets to Orijen Five Fish kibble and they love it! For the first time, our male is excited to eat and empties his dish, wish is a huge relief, as he has been underweight most of his life due to being very picky and having allergies that dictate which foods he can eat.

I have two labs and a bullmastiff, Ozzy, Zakk and Jake and they LOVE the new food, they have never looked better. I have always fed them high end dog foods but you take yours a step above the rest. Please keep up the great work. In a world where we find out nearly everyday some of these dog food companies arent as they claim to be, I'm really hoping I have found a keeper in your food line.

My name is Pat Duncan and my Belgian Malinois is Credence. He is 1/12 years and when I got him at 9 weeks, he had colitis. He suffered with this up until 2 months ago. He has been on expensive vet food, medication and other things I have tried to relieve his symptoms. I finally came across Orijen and liked what I saw for ingredients. As well, one of my students had switched her dog and it was quite obvious the difference in his coat even though he had just switched recently.
Because Credence had such a sensitive stomach, I took my time switching him over....there was no need, in fact, I shouldn't have. He got increasing better as I upped the percentage of Orijen. His feces started to firm up and there was no longer blood or mucous in his stool. He has since put on 3 pounds and looks fantastic! His coat is soft and sleek.
I have been so impressed with Orijen that at least 7 -10 of my students have switched as well. One student has only been on for about a week and has already noticed a softer coat.
Additionally, although it was almost as expensive as the vet food, I thought I would try it anyway. As it turns out, Credence eats about 1/2 as much (depending on the level of exercise on the day). The food is dense and well formed, there is no dust left in the bottom of the bag. He used to eat more than 8 cups of food per day. For his body weight (now 63 pounds) with normal exercise he should have been at 2.5 to 3 cups per day and maybe an additional cup for heavy work days. (He sometimes works for 8 hours). He now eats under 4 cups on a regular basis and still has energy to burn! I am spending MUCH less, on dog food and supplements and nothing for medication (also expensive).
I teach obedience, beginner agility and rally-O. Credence will compete in these and has also has been learning Schutzhund and will start to compete this season.
This is the first dog food I have ever been truly impressed with! I thank you for providing such a high quality feed for Credence.

I have been working in the veterinary industry a long time and had always had my pets on "preventive" diets--namely Medi-Cal. I finally got around to educating myself in the past 3-4 years thanks to university and realized that those so-called premium diets were not biologically appropriate for my fur-kids. I switched my cats onto your cat formulation and what a difference! I am feeding less than 1/3 of what they were being fed on the veterinary diets and they are doing great. My one cat used to have problems with waxy ears and nothing changed but after a week on your food the waxy ears are gone. My little Siamese loves it and when both my Chihuahuas are adults I will be switching them to Orijen 6 Fresh Fish. Thank you for a wonderful product!

We expanded our family a couple of weeks ago by adding a new member to our family, an 8-week old mini dachshund, named Budget by our son. We received a bag of kibbles from the breeder when we finally took him home. After researching the web for the best puppy food there is, we came across Orijen Puppy. We went through several website which listed dog food from A – Z and read each one of them. We went over the ingredients and checked to ensure a balanced diet. We noticed consistent high praises for Orijen Puppy and decided to test the product ourselves.
We slowly introduced Orijen Puppy into Budget's diet. Prior to Orijen Puppy, he constantly itched and was shedding. Since we have switched completely this week, Budget has been more active and the itching seemed to have stopped. He is not as gassy as he used to be and leaves us more solid "surprises" than when he was on his previous diet. The previous product we received from the breeder included corn and wheat, which are not healthy for a dog's skin.
Although it has only been 4 full days since we have completely changed over to Orijen Puppy, we definitely have seen the difference and are excited about the results. We are grateful to have found a product that is balanced and healthy for our new family member. All puppy food should be as complete as Orijen Puppy!

I just wanted to send a big thank-you for creating the best dog food on the market. Cooper my 2 1/2 Am staff x just loves it. People always stop and ask us what on earth we feed him! We tell them that its not a secret it's Origen dog food. We also tell them about all of the great things that make Origen what it is,we also tell them how it compares to the other stuff on the market and where they can buy it. I believe the proof of quality that goes in to every bag of Origen comes out in every dog or cat that eats it. I feel proud to walk to Cooper down the street and have traffic slow down to ask what I feed my dog. His coat has never looked better. I hope you don't mind but I have attached a picture of Cooper. My German Shepherd G - CoCo vom Zwischensee, Sch II, AD recently had a litter of nine puppies. CoCo has always been a raw fed dog. Well, with the nine puppies being weaned I could not keep up with the raw feeding regime on weekdays when I had to go to work. I had the pups on another holistic type kibble with grains but their stool consistency was hit & miss. Some days good some days not so good. Like pancake mix really.
I bought some of your Large Breed Puppy from Jane Udell at Best Pet Foods here in NL. Well, the puppy's now have consistently firm stools. So, now I feed your kibbles during the week & they get their raw meat meals on the weekends when I have more time. I bought a bag of the Six Fish formula for Mom.
I am very happy with the product!

Recently my 11 year old Bluepoint Siamese seemed to be struggling with his food - Whiskas, the only type he's known since birth. A co-worker with a registered Ragdoll encouraged me to consider a better way with food for my cat and took me into Tail Blazers here in town just a couple blocks from my house. I settled on the Orijen brand as a trial and my cat Oscar loves it. The drastically higher cost concerned me but I was told he would eat less and a bag would stretch further than anticipated. That appears to be the case in the first couple weeks.
I feel so much better with no surprises to come home to on the hardwood and food still in the bowl. The Orijen brand is a big hit here. Tail Blazers had me fill out a card for repeat purchases. Any deal down the road is good and helps the price difference I guess. Obviously the cost difference is a financial hit, but I also want my beloved cat around for a while yet too.
Thanks for your fine product my cat likes and switched to after 11 years without batting an eye. It pleases me tremendously to support an Alberta company as well. That's an added bonus that means a lot to me.

My two rescued huskies, Mika and Nanook love it and look and act 100% healthy. 6 months ago we moved up North to Rankin Inlet, Nunavut and we were worried about what to feed our girls because they would need to be very healthy to withstand the colder temperatures up here. We bought 12 bags of the Adult Formula and shipped them up here. Many people have switched to Orijen after seeing how healthy Mika and Nanook are. I adopted a my dog Ollie, (mostly Shih Tzu, 1 year old, male) two weeks agofrom a Chicago, IL rescue. I fed him the food that he received at the shelter as he adjusted, but knew that as that ran out I wanted to switch him to a natural diet, preferably all-meat if it was affordable.

Thought you would get a laugh out of this picture. According to my Puddles gauge (my himalayan) it is time to buy another bag of Orijen. She won't eat Orijen off the floor only from the bag and Jasper, my Ragdoll will only eat from the floor not the bag. What can I say, works for them.

My 4lb Yorkie suffered for four years from IBD and pancreatitis. Over the years, we have tried several foods, prescription diets and home made meals. We spent thousands of dollars at the vet looking for answers. Nothing seemed to help. Three months ago, I nearly lost him. He vomited so much that he went into shock. We quickly got him to the vet and just in time. My poor baby has suffered terribly. Against, vet recommendations, I took him off the prescription diets and gave him Orijen. It has been a month now, with no signs of IBD or any adversity to the 6 Fresh Fish. Although it has not been a long time since changing his diet, I see exciting changes. He is much more

I have been feeding my 2 Shih Tzu your wonderful food now for about 3 months. I was feeding another high quality dog food - Prairie's Nature Variety prior to learning about your food. My 2 1/2 yr. old was getting quite tired of that food and at times actually refused to eat, even though I was rotating the proteins. I called the owner of the store I buy from, he told me about the Orijen food. He said it was his best selling food and suggested I give it a try. So I bought a couple of the sample bags and when I got home my boys could smell it instantly! I mixed it of course with the other and my "picky" guy picked out all the old food and only ate yours. He then looked at me for more. He has been eating very well ever since. I love the fact you have both a poultry based and fish based food. I can rotate between them both and both my boys love them equally as well. The have maintained their perfe ct weights of 11 lbs and their coats are so gorgeous and shining. So I wanted to write and thank you for a wonderful dog food.

I just wanted to let you know that I am so glad that you have this food out with no grains, I was having so many problems with my older dog lab mix with allergies, when I switched to orijen she seemed to do better, but she was also on medication so I wasnt sure which one was helping so I switched to another food while she was still on the meds and wow what a difference, so I switched her back to orijen, as soon as I brought the bag home both of my dogs scarfed down there whole bowls, they love the food, and my older dog is doing much better again, thanks to your food. Hi there I just wanted to send compliments to your company on the Orijen 6 fish for canines. I have two English Bulldogs and they are both on it. My boy has had skin issues and is on holistic meds to clean his liver and digestive tract. And with the help of your food he is doing great! I am emailing you to say thank you for making such a great product. I not only feed Orijen to my two and a half year old Beagle Kya but I just started with my 3 month old Purebred Coonhound Dakota. They are the loves of our lives, you most likely hear that from everyone.
I am a little bias for I also work part time at Tail Blazers in Edmonton, I have recommend hundreds of customers to use your product, and when I do I ask them to please purchase a sample bag along with a larger bag and if there cat or dog does not like it to bring back the larger bag and we will replace it with something different. I have not since June 2007 had anyone return a bag of Orijen. I have had customers call and say when they got home and opened up the small bag there dogs "went crazy", " I have never seen them do tricks for kiddle before" , "my dog cleaned his whole bowl and wants more", " I can not believe how beautiful her coat is", "she does not have a rash anymore, it must be the other dog food", and last but not least "why doesn't everyone feed Orijen"

Just a quick note to let you know that after having tried I think almost every food on the market we have found ORIJEN and will never go back. One of our dogs suffered from terrible gas and loose stools on every food that we tried but after only a few servings of Orijen we noticed an immediate difference no more smelly home
and our other dog well he is just picky but absolutely loves ORIJEN and we don't have to tempt him anymore with canned or broth. He eats up no problem. Thanks for making such a great food that I feel good about feeding my dogs.

I just want to say how delighted I am to have found your product. I have two Tibetan spaniels, my blond girl who was really picky with kibbles (I was buying Wellness lamb and rice, before) never in all of her life (she's 5), she ate all of them with pleasure and appetite, but since she's eating Orijen kibbles, this all changed. They both do the tibbie dance before serving, that tells all :):) !
Since the China flour scandall in March, I was given them homefood almost raw cooking for them with vegetables and a bit of barley and oats. Doing homefood is great and my dogs are really healthy and in shape but it's not always convenient when you go on small trip and stay over night. So I was searching for the perfect kibbles with no ethoxyquin in them. And I found yours with the Internet. Exactly what I wanted, with botanicals plants that gives you years in advance over any other dog products. I love the combination of ingredients, the veges and the fresh meats and fishes, all locally and Canadian. I read a lot about the no grain thing and it makes senses. My dogs are happy and I'm happy too. The only difficulty (really minor) is that I have to do 5 hours drive to go get them. The last time I phoned the only store near me, in Québec city, and they put my two bags on the bus who comes up here in Chicoutimi. But the thirty dollar more for the travelling is worth it. I took a bag of the fishes kibbles and one of the chicken ones. They are eating the chicken ones, but I'm sure as they both love salmon, they will like the others too.

First, I’d like to wish you all a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year and safe holidays.
Second, I have to admit that I have been missing a lot before discovering Orijen foods. Honestly, best food I’ve ever fed my 2 German Shepherds. Here is the deal :
1. I have had Roy ,3 years, since he was 7 weeks old. By the time he turned 6 months I discovered that he had EPI. I battled with weight loss and diarrhea for almost 8 months.I tried almost 6 different food brands. Only one of them actually worked and the diarrhea stopped. But he put on very little weight and his stools volumes were large and somewhat still soft.
2. I have had Tia, almost 2 years, for almost 1 year. She is so small as GSD and her weight was always 58lbs never an once more no matter how much I fed her. She, too, her stool volumes were large.
Then I discovered Orijen 6 fish. Although high in fat and protein for an EPI dog, but with the help of enzymes supplements, Roy now weighs 80lbs and Tia 63lbs.
Both have firm stools and the stool volumes can’t even be compared to what they used to be.
So thanks so very much for a great product.

I have recently heard about Orijen from a friend who works at Tailblazers in Edmonton. After doing some research I decided to switch my dog from his current food, Timberwolf Organics, to Orijen. I love that your foods are human grade, but also that they're made from Alberta-products and grain-fed animals. Steroid free animals and grain-free food is what my dog should be fed! I'm excited I've finally found a great product. My 8 year old Shepherd/Akita is now on the 6-Fish formula and can't wait for meal time.

I just had to email you concerning your Orijen cat food. I have a 4 yr old cat who has had a continuous problem with crystals in her urine and blockage. I always end up taking her to the vet twice a year. Last year I adopted 2 kittens. They were on kitten food and the older cat on another kind of food. They would always end up eating each others food. Of course, the problem with crystals popped up again.
I needed to find a cat food that all three could eat. I researched different foods for two weeks and decided to give Orijen cat food a try. I'm so very glad I did. All three cats have been on Orijen since this past May 2007 and they all absolutely love it. The happiest part for me is that there have been no more urinary problems with my older cat. All three cats are happy, healthy, and active cats.

You know how when you switch a pets food, it's usually best to mix them gradually until the portion of the new food is 100%. Well Jake wants no part of that! Hehhehehe..... he picks out the kibble of Orijen and leaves the product we were using before behind in the dish and it wasn't a low end product either.

I wanted you to know how well my puppies are doing on your food. I have bred my Standard Poodle and she had her 8 pups July 4, 2007. I was using Timberwolf for my adult dogs and they did not have a puppy food, so I started researching good foods. I found yours at the top of Prairie Pet Foods list. The owner there has helped my out many times with my education on pet foods.
I started my pups on a soaked kibble mixed with a little canned dog food for the last 3 weeks. They took off in growth and even in this small time frame I could se the benefits right away. Their coat are shiny and they look so healthy. Last week I switched my adults over and they seem to love the food. I will continue using your pet food and I have bought a small bag of food for each of the owners of my pups. I will highly recommend your food to all my "doggy" friends.

I havne't been in the pet store to buy my toy poodle dry dogfood in more than a year. We like to supplement her with protein because all the dogfoods on the market haven't come close to containing the right amount of protein for a dog (or cat for that matter).

The only problem...she really likes it! In fact, when mixed with her óld' kibble...she'll pick out the orijen and leave behind the old brand!

I want to thank you for making such a wonderful healthy pet food. My 3lb Yorkie Squeaky had two operations for calcium oxilate stones. Everything I've read and the vets I've spoke to told me diet cannot correct the production of this type of stone. I researched every food on the market and over the years have come to hate all of them because of the chemicals that are in them. I needed a food without added chemically compounded calcium and then I ran across your food. I figured I would try it because I loved what I read. I would like to tell you that he went last month for his yearly bladder xray and there were no stones since he has been on your food!!!!!!!!!!! See, I don't believe everything people tell me. I am a retired veterinary dentist and I know to home cook is great but no one can incorporate all the vitamins and minerals they need every day. I just wanted to thank you for making the food you make. My Golden Retriever is on the Large Breed Puppy. I know there are a lot people who are against the puppy food because of the protein content. My puppy has been on it 10 wks - 6 months (her current age). I actually think she doesn't grow as fast as other puppies on "regular" puppy food. Maybe she's just petite. She definitely doesn't over eat. She feeds on demand and usually has some food left in her bowl at the end of the day. Not that she doesn't like it, she does. She's a "snacker"
and a very picky eater. I also give her rice, yogurt, left over salmon skin, rib bones, she's spoiled. My point is she is so healthy. And she's gorgeous. She has an amazing coat. And she certainly hasn't developed any of the health problems that people seem to continually try to associate with a high protein diet. She does not have any health issues. I guess I've always been confident that although it is high in protein that the formulation would be good for my puppy. She is like a child to me and I would never give her food that was not good for her (well she's had a few chocolate chips and Pringles in her life - I have 2 and 4 year old boys - what can you do?) I think this food is the best. And the fact that my puppy is a perfect weight, and absolutely GLOWS, I know it's good.

After reading about the huge amount of rubbish that goes into the making of dog food, it shocked me to think that I was feeding my Dogs on such stuff; I cannot call it 'Food'I was determined to find out a company making Dog Food that really cared forour Dogs as much as we Owners did, I was not sure such a company existed,but I lived in hope of finding one.

I want to let you know that for my pets your food is a life saver.
My 3 year old sheltie turned up his nose at a leading brand food that he had been eating since birth. He would go days without eating. I bought a sample bag of Orijen and he almost ate the bag and all. He does a little dance when I feed him breakfast and dinner now!!! He has more energy and is not shedding as much as he usually does.
My 11 yr old cat was hacking up her 'prescription' food available only from the vet and an outrageous price for the past 3 years. I switched her to Orijen when I saw how the dog loved it, and she is not throwing up her food any more and has actually gained weight. I may have to put her on a diet if she keeps on eating so much.
I went to the pet store last week to get more and they said because of the demand it was getting harder to get. I don't know exactly how it is produced but please, please don't change your procedure and become like all the other brands!!! I have spoken to several people who use Orijen and they also love it, more importantly so do the dogs.

Dearest makers of Orijen cat food. We have adopted 2 SPCA cats over the past year and of course when they came to us they were not in the best of shape. I put them on Orijen cat and not only do they love the little triangular kibbles but in short time, their coats became thick, shiny and luxurious and their skin which was dry and flaky from their time at the shelters, is healthy and free of flakes. You couldn't have 2 more healthy looking cats and to demonstrate how much they love their food so much, they wait in the kitchen for their dishes to be refilled, while we humans are still eating our supper. The two of them just sit there in front of the pantry door, staring at us while we finish eating.

My dog recently got sick. She weighed 53 lbs. when she was healthy and lost 16 lbs. over a 2 year period. All tests came back normal and the Vet couldn’t find anything wrong with her. So I started researching dog food. I am so happy to say I found Orijen because this seems to be the only thing that she can keep down without getting sick. Hello, I have two boston terriers. I had them on Eagle Pack for over a year, then my daughter suggested I put them on Orijen. Well.........I am floored at what beautiful coats they have. I just wanted to comment that I recently switched to Orijen Senior for my 10 year old Shih Tzu. He was my fortunate one who survived the tainted pet food here in the U.S. probably because he didn't like the canned food that I served. My 4 year old Shih Tzu prefered the canned food, and though the food was never recalled, when I had it tested, was positive for cyanuric acid. She was diagnosed in kidney failure in March of this year and died in June. During the pet food recalls, I home cooked for them and tried to balance the meal and add vitamins, but after Mandy died, Riley just picked through his food, and I was concerned he was not getting all the nutrients that he needed. Louise's Pet Connection in Lake Mary, FL sells a number of natural type pet foods and products and recommended Orijen for Riley.
Though I was fearful to use commercial food again, I was probably most impressed by the fact that you manufacture your food from local ingredients, and the ingredients appear to be wholesome meats, fruits, and vegetables, with no by-products, grain, etc. Riley loves the food and appears to be doing well. Well, we're planning on another Shih Tzu puppy coming home in October. I want to start her on Orijen for puppies. Thank you for putting the quality of your foods as a priority and using ingredients local to your area. It's hard to know who we can trust nowadays.

We just bought our first bag of Orijen Adult dog food and are very pleased with this product.
We recently welcomed a new addition to our family, a 7 year Samoyed named Mikko. She is a wonderful dog, however, she is overweight, a bit arthritic, and has an appetite for the wrong kinds of food - people foods that are high in calorie and fat.
When we first got her from rescue, we had to pour chicken broth on her dog food to get her to eat it, and even then, it was difficult to get her to eat dog food.

We have a 2 year old English Mastiff Harley Rider, from the day we brought our new loving joy home he didn’t eat. His head was growing but not his body. We did everything possible to make him eat. It was a challenge every day, we tried chicken, hamburgers, sauces, and we made special soups and food every night. Nothing worked it was a 2 hour deal every night. We tried many different dry foods and still the same issue. He didn’t want his food in the bowl so it had to be special for him on a plate on top of his bowl with no kibble only chicken or he liked cut up sandwiches. It was a nightmare. He then had issues with his knee and had to have TPLO surgery. When we were able to pick him up from the vet, he warned us on how hard it was going to be for the next 12 weeks for him to eat. We actually were terrified he wasn’t going to eat at all. He lost so much weight we didn’t know what to do. We had to buy a new collar for him because his was way too big. We then found Orijen. I have never been so happy to say how much he loves it. He eats out of the bowl and everything. It truly is magic every day to me. I say every day, look at my boy he eats kibble and likes it. We are thrilled. We don’t need to purchase so many vitamins now, b/c Orijen has everything he needs to be healthy and get his daily vitamins. When we adopted Indy, he was 40#(emaciated), wire haired and had a ton of scars.
When we first received Indy in our home we were using Nutro Ultra. And yes he did gain some weight, and his coat did get softer, but now that we switched to your product we have noticed in the past 3 months a huge increase in his activity, physical appearance and over all demeanor.

I started my GSD on the adult ORIJEN at the beginning of June. Her soft stool problem has cleared up - and could have been that she was stressed from getting her permanent teeth. As well I have stopped adding any "people" food to her meals.
I see that ORIJEN has now come up with the single protein adult dog food, and I wonder if I should switch to it.

Just wanted to let you know that I have recently switched my dog from BRNAD XXX to Orijen and I cannot BELIEVE the difference in her digestive health. It's only been a week, but there was almost instantaneous improvement. She loves eating it and I feel fantastic about feeding it to her; something I haven't previously experienced with the dog OR the cats.
I just wondered if your company had any plans to increase distribution? I can get the dog food locally, but i'd like to put the cats on it, as well, and there are no local retailers. We'll be moving in a year, and then 3 years after that and neither of those regions has a local distributor of either teh dog or cat food. I'm happy to order online, but hope that you are able to broaden your distribution in the future, provided the quality of the food is maintained.

I just wanted to thank you so much for your wonderful products. Let me first give you a quick background on my dog. I have a 2 year old female goldendoodle. For the past year and a half she has been very ill, and we have not been able to come up with a diagnosis to explain all of her symptoms despite consulting with our veterinarian, the local emergency vets as well as the veterinary college in Guelph, ON. We determined that she has eosinophilic gastritis, however despite that condition she should still gain weight. For some mysterious reason she continued to loose weight and hit a low of 13.5 kg (she should be approximately 25kg) despite eating 6-7 cups of kibble per day. She was extremely lethargic, sleeping 20-23 hours per day, all of the typical puppy energy was gone. Over the last year we have tried countless different diets including holistic, veterinary grade and home made diets, all unsuccessfully. About 2 months ago we came across your adult dog food at Bark'n Fitz in Burlington, ON. With my veterinarians approval we decided to try her on that formula as we had nothing else to lose. After being on the Orijen diet for a month an a half I cannot believe the changes in her. She now weighs 21.5kg, and is gaining 2-5 pounds every week. We are still giving her large quantities of food (6 cups) but we may actually have to start reducing her intake soon, I was beginning to think that we would never get to this point. She is so happy and is full of energy and life. Her veterinarian checked her last week and couldn't believe that she actually has a small layer of fat under her skin, we couldn't be happier!

Hello, I would like to thank you for this great product (Orijen.) Over the years we have feed our dogs everything from the very low end kibble to the super premium kibble. At last our dogs (2 German Shepherds, 1 Black Lab) have had issues with the current dog foods on the market. Our Lab has had issues with sensitive skin and weight control. Our German Shepherd has had issues with putting on the extra weight since he’s very lean and athletic. Since switching the dogs over to Orijen by the recommendation of the Pet store we frequent we have not been happier. Their coats are defiantly shinier, their breath smells great, their energy level has dramatically improved. The stools are nice and small and not as frequent. Our German Shepherd is putting on the weight and our Black Lab is losing the weight. Our newest addition (the other German Shepherd) we wanted to start her off right just goes nuts when it’s feeding time, and she is looking gorgeous with the coat and stools and demeanor.

A few months ago I adopted a kitten from a local shelter.
Approximately eight weeks old, he suffered from an upper respiratory
fection (the
feline counterpart to kennel cough). Unfortunately, this cute little guy had a very rough start in life having been abandoned at only three or four weeks of age and, when I adopted him, had already been subjected to more than one round of antibiotics. Stronger antibiotics were necessary to stop his infection but caused severe diarrhea, dehydration and weight loss.
His veterinarian recommended additional medication plus an
over-the-counter children's remedy for the diarrhea but nothing seemed to help. I had to do something but did not want to cause him any further distress by changing his diet or taking him off of the medications.

Hi...just started my dog on this diet...he has food allergies and so far is tolerating the transition really well...I've noticed a difference in his energy level already...he was on a vegetarian diet before. He is going to be eight years old this fall and I'm wondering if this diet will be appropriate during his senior years? Because of his allergies, I'm hoping it will. I now have my 5 and a half month old kitten on Orijen as well...she loves it and during the transition period, she picked it out of her bowl and left the other kibble. What is astounding even to me (a person who "preaches" the kitchen is the medicine cabinet of first resort) it's been only a bit over two weeks since he's been on ORIJEN, and I cannot begin to explain the remarkable difference in him... you have given us our cat back. I don't have to wait 4-6 weeks to see how he does, I already know... whatever you are doing there at Champion Pet Foods, you've got it right.
The biggest difference is his energy levels, he is jumping again... it's only been two weeks! He used to jump from the ground on top of the bed. He's had a very hard go of it, since Feb 2007, when he got hit once with Science Diet, and then again in March. His head had to be lifted to eat. He had to be lifted everywhere. When he started getting better he would make five or six half starts trying to gather energy to jump, then give up, his hind legs were that weak. They stayed that way, he was listless, uninterested in anything but sleeping.We were grateful he was alive, and that was as good as it was going to get. But, on ORIJEN, this past weekend, he's been jumping effortlessly everywhere, the way he used to, and trying to jump further. Not only that, he's back to his curious, playful self, arguing with the birds, trying new vocalizations, joining in human conversations, ordering me around, and chasing his toys about the house. His body seems a bit sleeker. His breathing at night is less labored. I know that kidneys and lung functions are linked (in Eastern medicine they are treated together)... it's only been 2 weeks!
Of all the pets I have owned from turtles to horses, this is the one who has taught me the most, he's a remarkable spirit. Thank you.

With the recent pet food recalls, I started to question my food choices for my two cats. Although I wasn't feeding them any of the recalled foods, I was feeding them a product made by the company who produced so many different brands, thinking all the while that the food I was purchasing was produced by the company who's name was on the package. I was shocked to learn how the food is produced and what exactly goes into it. I decided to make a change.
They started eating your ORIJEN product about 2 weeks ago and the difference is absolutely amazing. They have more energy. They feel better. They are happier. They look better. Their fur is softer and brighter. Their eyes are brighter. And, best of all, they just love it. Your published information is correct in that, although they love they food, they aren't eating as much of it as they did the other. This must simply be because they are eating properly balanced food. One of the cats has had a weight problem and even that is getting better. He's looking much healthier and sleeker and has the energy to play and get some exercise.

I am so happy that my husband and I discovered ORIJEN Adult dog food. Our dog Indie is a 1 and a half year old border collie. We've had her since she was 6 and a half weeks old and she is a very happy dog.
Back when we brought her home from the breeder it was recommended to us that we feed her Med-ical dog food (development formula). Early on she was okay but soon she started having intestinal problems, frequent diahreah. After huge costs for many tests we still had no answers. our vet then suggested that we start her on the Gastro formula of Med-ical and still no change. We were then told to change her to the Hypoallergenic formula and not only was there not much improvement but she also hid under the bed every time we fed her. This became heart breaking to say the least and finally when i was at a local Bark and Fitz, (appelby line and hwy 5 in Burlington Ontario) your food was recommended to us. The cost was much less than what we were paying at the vets and so we thought why not. Not only does our dog absoloutely love the food but within days we noticed a huge improvement in her bowel movements. Her stools had never looked so healthy and her coat soon became much shinier too. I've also noticed that her teeth stay clean and food does not get lodged into her back teeth which would eventually cause plaque.
We feel that your food has made our dog healthier than she's ever been and we are happy that it is Canadian as well.

I will confess to having bought all sorts of dog food in the past, but always bought from what I thought were reputable companies.
With the recent contamination issues, I looked more deeply into what I was feeding my Weimaraner. I was introduced to your product by my local pet shop and switched immediately.
I cannot express the difference it made! Not only does she really like it, but her demeanor has become so much more ‘lighter’…as if the previous food had made her sluggish (not that she didn’t always have oodles of energy) but now she is in absolute prime condition!

I recently switched to your product after the wheat/rice scare. I and my dog love your product and can't wait until the 6 FRESH FISH with SEA VEGETABLES hits our local store. My dog has mild hip dysphasia and had not been moving around so great, even with the OMEGA 3 and glucosamine and chondroitin pills. I swear the day I gave him your food, he started to bark and be himself again. Coincidence? I do not know, but what I do know is that he has not barked for dinner for a long time. THANKS.

The only good thing to come out of the recent food recall tragedy was becoming an informed consumer. After exhaustive research I chose ORIJEN to give to my beloved dogs Dakota and Rio. The improvements were dramatic and immediate. Both dogs were throwing up on a daily basis and I was about to have a battery of tests done. Not only was this the easiest food switch I've ever experienced, but the stomach upsets stopped immediately. Both guys are in love with this food and Rio is now in the habit of tipping his ceramic bowl to make noise for food in the morning to wake me.
Thank you for your integrity in an industry that has so little left of it.

You have done a great thing! As an ex-Science Diet customer (of 13
years) I was forced to learn about another food alternative for my cat Gracie.
I tried other brands that were not affected by the recall, but she wouldn't eat for days. Gracie LOVES ORIJEN kibble and she is a very fussy eater.
Thank you for caring enough to make a high quality product when so many companies have deceived well meaning pet owners like myself.

I am an aby breeder and the quality of food is definitely my soapbox, no question. I've looked into many, many brands and thought I knew all the big players in the top food brands. I found out about ORIJEN from a fellow breeer - in Baltimore ! I don't know why I did not find you guys before .... almost had a heart attack when I saw your ingredients label - it just had all the right things, then the pH put the icing on the cake. Thank you, thank you, thank you ! I have been looking for you forever !
I'm in the process of transitioning my crew over to ORIJEN fully, and already I see results in the litterbox - the bane of breeders and pet owners (the fluctuating and loose stools). I cannot wait until they are fully transitioned and then after several weeks I'm sure they will look like a million bucks! Abyssinians are a muscular and athletic breed, and the high meat protein content will do wonders for them. As a responsible breeder, I strongly push nutrition to my kitten owners, as I believe it is far and away the cornerstone of good health. I think I have finally found a food I can truly feel confident in recommending to my kitten owners. If this produces the results I think it will, I will be emailing all my kitten owners and encouraging them to switch over ....
If you ever need a breed to champion your food, I suspect that in a few months my abys will be the picture of good health - coats, physique, fitness, muscularity, and a sparkle in their eyes !

I recently purchased a small bag of your ORIJEN puppy food to use as a
training reward for my standard poodle. Wow!! He absolutely goes nuts for it... I have been throwing in a handful with his other organic
kibble
and now he picks out the other other brand and spits it on the floor to get to the ORIJEN. Needless to say I will be buying a bigger bag next time.
