Gabe has a sensitive stomach. Over the past 4 years I have tried a number of different foods on him and it doesn't take long at all to find out which ones agree with him and which do not.

A couple of months ago, I was at one of the pet stores in my community that carries a variety of different foods including several premium foods. We were talking about Gabe's sensitive stomach and that he seemed to do better on grain free diets. They suggested I try Acana Wild Prairie.

About that same time I also realized that Gabe had developed a lipoma (fatty tumor) on his chest. That had me worried because I generally associate fatty tumors with older dobermans.

I decided to give Acana Wild Prairie a try. I am so glad I did!

Gabe immediately adjusted to this new food. There was no adjustment period. I didn't even have to transition him. He just adjusted without any problem. After a couple of weeks I started noticing that Gabe was acting differently. He was less sluggish and full of energy. I can only describe it as Gabe was acting brighter.

Equally important, Gabe's poop was half of what it had been on other foods. I am a firm believer that it is important to not only watch what goes in but how it comes out. The smaller his leavings, the more his body is using the food he is eating. In Gabe's case, it was a pretty significant improvement.

Until now, the fatty tumor on his chest was slowly growing in size and although I had it checked and knew it was benign it still bothered me that he had one his age.

It has now been a little over 2 months since Gabe began Acana Wild Prairie. This weekend I was grooming him and thought that his fatty tumor was getting smaller. I measured and sure enough it has been reduced by nearly half. I was amazed! Did a little research and found some references that correlated feeding a high quality premium food with the reduction in the size of some fatty tumors.

All I can say is that both Gabe and I love this food. I like because Gabe is doing so well on it. He likes it so much that if I delay putting the food bowl down he actually starts salivating.

Thanks for the great product. I'm staying with Acana!

I have a 2 year old 85 lb pitbull/mastiff mix, and i put him on orijen about 8 months ago. At the time i had him on a food that called for feeding him over 5 cups a day!! At my old job, we had a nutritionist come in as well as one of your reps come in and talk about this brand and convinced me to try it. When i switched Landen over to orijen, i only had to feed him 2.5 cups..talk about SAVING MONEY!!!! That wasn't the only thing that sold me on it however. His coat is sooo shiny!! Even when it's dark outside it shines in the moonlight..how many dog foods can say their food can do that?? In the summer and spring, i switch him off between the turkey and chicken formula as well as the regional red formula. In the winter I feed him the 6 fish formula so his skin doesnt dry out and to keep his coat nice and shiny. Another thing i love about this food is that it's got a lot of glucosamine and chondroitn. That goes a long way when you have a large breed dog! When i worked at Jack's Pets, i switched so many people over to orijen and/or acana because everything you guys do with your food makes sense. I just want to say THANK YOU for this food! YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!

I have included a few pictures of Moses, who I am sure would be honored to be on your website!

Moses has tried the Acana Wild Prairie and Grasslands so far, and he has LOVED both of them; he is actually devouring the latter right now! As I previously mentioned, he can be a pretty picky eater at times, but you certainly wouldn't know that judging by his response to his new food.

Thanks again!

THANK YOU!!!!!!!
Elliot was never a picky eater until he was diagnosed as a diabetic and had low potassium levels. Occasionally he will turn his nose at his other grain-free foods and we have to make the constant switch between three other brands. We are on our second bag of Orijen and he LOVES IT! He chatters and gives approving meows when I get the bag out. I can't thank you enough! I can tell his weight is starting to become steady, his energy is up and I don't have to worry about getting food in him before giving him insulin. You have his seal of approval and you HAVE to be proud of your product!!!! I have tears in my eyes- just knowing how much your food has helped my baby and eased my constant worry.
Thank you thank you THANK YOU!
Sincerely,
Cathy Kanavy and Elliot Gabriel!

Just wanted to share my (and my dogs excitement!) over your wonderful food. I have to say, I've read the White Paper more than once and am completely on board with the grain-free notion of feeding my two dachshunds. A few months ago, I switched them from a different grain-free brand to Acana. Since then, I have been rotating through the different proteins when I buy a new bag, and sometimes also rotating through Orijen as well. I thought my dogs were doing fine on grain free until I started feeding your product. Their coats were already shiny but they became shinier and softer. My chubby little Lucy lost a few pounds without any change in amount of food or exercise. And they both really love the food. I wanted to share this picture of Ricky with you - as I was scooping food out of the first bag of Acana I bought to transition them from their old food (I was mixing it in a separate container), I turned around and found him doing this!

Thanks so much for such a wonderful outlook on pet health and well being. I love that your company is insistent on fresh, local ingredients and that you do not sub out the manufacturing process to another plant. I trust your food with my babies and that's hard to do in this economy where so much pet food has been tainted. I appreciate your diligence!

Best for a happy new year,
Christina

I write on behalf of my three dogs (Madison, 2 year-old Chow-Lab; Big guy, 9 mo. Neapolitan Mastiff; Asha 11 mo old German Shepard Mix). I came across Orijen this summer; bought a trial bag to use as training treats, because it was on sale. It was love at first bite! I was already considering a switch of food, because Madison was either too skinny or too fat, and not muscular enough despite her 2-3 hour daily exercise routine. I had already tried to increase her food amounts on two other high quality kibbles and had failed to find the right dose and type, she would either get constipated and/or fat. Food choice became a larger concern, as with two high-energy puppies around the house she was getting skinny and bloated on smaller doses of food. The food switch to Orijen was painless. There were no unpleasant side effects. About a month later, I began to see a change on muscle tone. Now, six months later, the muscle tone is apparent even while they sleep. The pooches receive daily compliments on their muscle tone, coat glow and softness. Madison is quite the furry bundle and is often described as a soft fur coat. However, the largest reward for us is to know that we are giving our furry family members a high quality product, that keeps them healthy looking in the inside and on the outside! We are after all, what we eat!

Ladies and Gentlemen!
We live in Krasnogorsk, Moscow Region, Russia. our two dachshunds after the transition to feeding Orijen from your company. Dachshunds 9 and 4 years (mother and her daughter). Until November, we fed them food another brand of dog food, but always wanted to go to another food. Tried to feed different manufacturers, In October, at the dog show "Russia-2011" acquainted with your products and decided to try to switch. A month after the transition, we have seen changes in the behavior of our dogs. They are not only willing to eat the food, but also became more active, moving and funny, as if younger. The older dog is seriously ill and often did not want to go for a walk, quickly tired. Now she has an active interest in life, she walks well, began to run and even to hunt mice. We love our dogs and are happy to see these changes. We would like to express our gratitude for quality products and wish your company prosper in the coming year.

Bonjour,
