Heroes for Heroes

“Courageous Companions? I wouldn’t be alive if it wasn’t for them.”

Those are the words of Shirley Jew, a sergeant in the Canadian Armed Forces and a volunteer with Courageous Companions. The organization connects veterans and first responders with service dogs to help improve the lives of those living with PTSD and other injuries. Our video tells a compelling story of how a hero needs a hero too. In Shirley’s experience, performing everyday activities is made possible again with Snoopy by her side.

For years, we’ve been proud to support Courageous Companions. This year, we’re asking you to become a hero by sharing our ‘Heroes for Heroes’ video and help us:

  • Deliver our message of appreciation to all the volunteers–you have a community of people who recognize that you are one of the pillars of the organization in which you give your time;
  • Raise funds by donating what you can, or;
  • Give the gift of time.

Together we can connect one hero to another by ensuring the perfect dog will be there for the veterans, first responders and others who need them.

Courageous Companions has seen service dogs help with people living with operational stress injuries like anxiety, PTSD, depression, seizure disorders and more.
